Thanks for visiting my journal. Every now and then I like to
ramble on about the happenings in my life; partly so people I don't talk
to very often can know what's going on, and partly so I can look back
later and remember. It probably won't be interesting, but
hopefully you won't fall asleep reading it. |

5 months without one single update - sorry! I stopped working on my site over the summer for some reason, and when I got back to school I was just WAY too busy to work on it. I'm going to attempt to find time here and there now that things have settled a bit, but I'm still busier than I ever have been. I changed majors (yes again) to finance and marketing, and I'm taking 19 hours this semester to compensate for my fickle nature in changing universities and majors constantly. As VP of Professionalism for AKPsi, I have also been consumed with a lot of responsibilities. I was in charge of rush, which took all day every day for about a month. Rush is over, but I still have a lot of duties to take care of. I am going back to TX for TX/OU in a few days, which I am VERY excited about. I get to see all of my Austin and Plano friends, and I get to witness TX kick the crap out of the sooners. I also miss my family a lot, and I'm very excited to see them again. I turned 22 back on Sept. 13th, and thanks to all of you who sent me cards or wished me happy b-day on the phone or on AIM. I really appreciate it =). I'm starting to feel old now, though. 22 seems so old to me. Before I know it I'll be 37 or something. I've also been working on getting some finance internships. I was offered a job with First Investors, but it wasn't really an internship. It was an actual job and I obviously don't have the time for a career right now still being in school and all. I might work for a company called North Star Resource Group, which would give me some experience in financial planning. I don't really want to go into financial planning, but the experience is great none-the-less. In fear of boring you while you're reading this, or more appropriately, in fear that NO ONE is reading this, I will end this entry here. Since I'll be updating more often, it will be easier to catch up with what is going on. Night. |

It's 3:41 pm on Saturday afternoon... I just updated TONS of stuff on the pictures section, especially of my friends. Last night I met everyone at Bryan's house, and then quickly departed to downtown Dallas for some special Starbuck's that's supposed to serve beer and food in addition to normal coffee. It was in the Turtle Creek area - if you're familiar with Dallas at all. However, it brought us much chagrin to find out there was no beer or food - just coffee. There was live music though. We might have had the wrong Starbuck's, but we left and drove to Tinseltown in Plano to see The Bourne Identity. It was pretty good, btw. The 10:10 showing was full, so we ate at Chuck's and saw the 10:40 showing instead. Afterward, Bryan, Jeff, and I all went back to Bryan's place. We hung out, played guitar, just chilled for a little while, then Jeff left and Bryan and I went to Taco Cabana for some late night food. We stayed up watching 12 Monkeys and messing around with one of his 12,000 computers until around 4:00 am, then fell asleep. I came home this morning at 8 and have been working on my site since. Yeah, so you better check it out! I'm not sure what the plans are for tonight yet. Ok I've run out of things to say for now. |

This is the longest break I've taken from my journal since I re-started it back in late April. The two week break was due to packing, finals, moving back to Texas for the summer, unpacking, finding a job, and most of all, laziness. I did end up finding a job at this place called Vector Marketing, and I make good money, but I don't really like it and it really has nothing to do with my major (MIS). All I really wanted was to avoid going back to Albertson's again, but I might have to. If I did, the only consolation would be that Ashleigh also went back to Albertson's this summer, and she promised herself that she never would again either. So I wouldn't be the only one! I haven't done anything too spectacular since I returned back to Texas, but just being home is really nice. Actually, I did get to go to a Graham Colton concert with my best friend Bryan and a few other friends (Jason, Jeff, Jenilee). While I was there (it was at the Curtain Club) I saw some other high school friends (Scott Caldwell and Keith Neagle). I also currently work with Scott, which is crazy because I haven't seen the kid in 3 years or so and now I see him just about every day. Graham Colton was a pimp, by the way. His show was awesome, and afterward he took the time to talk to anyone who wanted to. He signed a CD I bought from him (this was the first cd I've bought since Third Eye Blind "Blue" - and that was over 2 years ago). Even with 20-30 girls behind me waiting for him to sign their stomachs and various other body parts, he took the time to talk to me for a couple minutes and show his fan appreciation. That's dedication to your fans and I will return the dedication as a fan back to him. I highly recommend downloading his songs or buying his cd. Check him out at www.grahamcolton.com. |

I am almost done here in Tucson! All I have left is my final tomorrow for Finance 311, a little packing, and then I'm gone! I'll be on the road Saturday morning around 5 or 6 am. We had our last "learning" day of class today, and man it was hard. This class ended up being a lot harder than I had initially expected. I scored a 100 on the first test, a 78 on the second (gulp), and a 92 on the last test. That sets my average exactly at 90 - so I need to do well on the final tomorrow to hold my A. I think he might curve everyone's grades though because the class average is hovering around a 60 right now. I hope that's the case because that takes a little pressure off the final. Half of my room is gone because I moved it to my new apartment, and the other half I am bringing home with me to Texas over the summer. I can't believe this year is over! It went by so fast. This will be the first major university I have spent more than 1 year at! Congrats for me! lol. Somehow after all my transfers I caught up on my hours and I am officially a senior now. However, I will have to take an extra year here to finish all the upper-division MIS stuff. They don't let you speed up that major here for some reason. Really I just want to graduate, go back home to Texas, and start working. That's ok though. I'm doing alright =). |

This is the first entry I've written at a somewhat normal hour in a while - it's 6:47 pm on Saturday evening. I finished another week of finance 311, which means I'm one week closer to going home! I probably leave sometime around next Saturday (June 1st). That means I have a lot to do this week though in preparation to go home. I have to finish Finance of course, which I have two more tests in. One is on Tuesday and the last one on Friday. Sometime during the week I have to pack my stuff, take most of it over to my new apartment, and take the rest home with me when I leave. Of course, my computer is the last thing to go =). I just got done watching The Goonies - one of the best 80's movies of all time. I was thinking about adding a movies section to my website with like the top grossing films of all time and weekly box office reports. Most of you probably don't care about that stuff, but I love it and this is my website! hehe jk. Of course I will also add a college football section when the season gets a little closer - I'm ready to add it now but I don't think any one would look at it since there are still several months before most people start worrying about it =). If you read this, thanks. It means a lot to me. Let me know you came though and sign my guestbook! That would mean a lot to me too. |

It's 4:00 am on Monday morning. I decided to change the layout of my site, if you hadn't noticed. Who knows, I'm sure I'll change it again soon enough. I'm currently taking a pre-session course, Finance 311, and we have had 1 test so far. I got a 100 somehow! It was pretty difficult too. I guess going to class actually does help... I have about 2 weeks left in the course, then I am going home! I still have to move my stuff over to the new apartment before I go, however. I'm just waiting for the person who lives there now to move out. I saw Star Wars Episode II twice - once on opening day and once the day after. It was awesome! If you like Star Wars, go see it immediately! If you don't like Star Wars - go watch all of them, start to like it, then watch the new one! The only thing I didn't like about the new one was the performance by Hayden Christensen. I was a little disappointed in his acting, but oh well. It was still awesome! For the next week, all I have planned is finance 311... so I'm not sure how much I can really add to the journal. I'm sure some stuff will happen though =). I am also excited because my best friend from home, Lane Johnston, is sending me his new cd in the mail. As soon as I get it, I'll put the mp3's up on my site for you to download. Be sure to check it out because he is so talented! |

It's 4:38 am, Friday morning, right now. I finished my exams yesterday! But that wasn't the big news... Let me preface this story with a backgroud on what's going on here at U of A... there has been this stalker dude who sexually harassed/assaulted a few girls on campus in the parking garages - it's been big news around campus. There are some composite sketches floating around of what he might look like... Well - I might have encountered this psycho today. I was in the men's restroom at the ILC (integrated learning center) on campus today in one of the stalls. A gentleman came in and sat down in the stall next to mine. I thought this was weird from the getgo, because there were at least 5 other unoccupied stalls that weren't adjacent to mine. So he finished, I guess (I didn't ever hear any noises that would indicate he was actually using the restroom), and proceeded to walk from the sink back to his stall around 10-15 times. He kept blowing his nose, or something, but I think he was trying to look in the crevice that peered into my stall at the door. I started to get a little freaked out, and then he asked me, "Hey.. do you know what time it is?" I felt totally uncomfortable talking to a random guy through a stall door - so abruptly as possible I said, "I have no idea." He then stood outside my stall door for probably about 5 minutes - I was just waiting for him to leave before I got out of my stall. Then he asked, "Do you know if it's 12 yet?" Again, I responded "I have no idea" very curtly. Then he said "Hey take a look at this..." This is when I got really freaked out. I was like, "Take a look at what..?" He said "Just open the door and take a peek". OK STALKER/RAPIST WTF is wrong with you?? I was still IN THE STALL! I said "What is it?" He responded "sunglasses". I was freaking out at this point, and just waiting for him to leave or someone else to walk in. I contemplated busting out the door - decking the guy and making a run for it ... Just then someone else walked in and I knew this was my chance to leave peacefully. I exited my stall and he still tried to talk to me! He was pulling up his shirt and I think he was trying to get me to notice that he was "pitching a tent" in his pants, so I gave him a freakin dirty look like I wanted to kill him and that's when I remembered where I had seen his face before. He matched the composite sketches exactly! So I left real quick and called the cops! They came down and asked me a bunch of questions about him and what had happened - they were really nice. I don't know if they caught him, however. I hope they did! It was the most awkward experience of my life - maybe second only to when I got robbed at Albertson's - lol if you don't know that story yet, don't worry because I will add it to the stories section soon. Take care all!! If you wanna comment on anything to me, sign my new Guestbook! |

It's early in the morning on the 8th (3 am) (or is that late at night on the 7th?). I was up really late last night trying to read this book titled something like "The Politics of American Discontent". I had the final exam over that book earlier today, so I thought reading at least part of it might be beneficial. It wasn't. Fortunately, I was able to return the book for its full value at the bookstore! That's pretty much unheard of on any campus I've been to (I'm like Ross from friends - I transfer major universities as much as he gets married and divorced). Anyway, with the money I got back I bought a meal from my favorite Indochine restaurant, 88 Express. I spent part of the post-final day changing the color scheme of my website - twice. I then took a nap to make up for the sleep I didn't get last night. The night ended talking on the phone with my girlfriend. I only have 2 more finals left until...... summer school. Maybe if I make that gray, it won't happen. I just really want to go home! Come read about me tomorrow (for all 7 of you that actually read this journal)! |

It's Cinco de Mayo today! Sorry I took so much time off. I was preoccupied with other activities. I went to an end of the year party on Friday and had wayyy too much to drink (I killed a handle of Seagram's 7) and was hungover all Saturday. I think I still am a little today. However, there was one thing that saved grace for me during Saturday - and that was my great experience at Burger King! I went through the drive through around 11:50 pm last night and ordered the new meal deal called "Shaq Attack". I hate Shaq, but I was hungry and it was cheap, so I ordered it. It comes with a sourdough grilled burger, fries, and QUESO! Oh, and a drink. Well anyway, the drive-through window guy told me they dropped my food, so I was going to have to wait a lil while. So for the wait, they gave me 2 extra cheeseburgers (not the small ones, but the big ones), extra fries, and a HUGE coke! I was really thirsty, so it made me happy. I'm going to go eat one of those burgers now. Talking about it made me hungry. |

Today was pretty uneventful - I've been trying to learn some flash for my site, but not having much luck. I decided to change a few things, like the color scheme and layout - but aside from that today was very unproductive. Tonight I am going out to a bar with some of my friends that are graduating in a couple weeks. I usually don't go out to bars that often, but since they are leaving and I won't really be able to hang out with them anymore, I figured I would tonight. Now that I'm done with classes - I have to prepare for my finals coming up. HAHA Yeah right - me prepare!? We'll just see how it goes, I guess. I can't wait to come home. Don't forget to check back tomorrow! |

I woke up today at 5 am.... yes that early... so I could finish my part of the statistics group project. After I finished, I printed up 6420 pages of accounting and MIS notes, since I had a test in both of those classes today. I haven't really been going to class all that often, so it was on me to learn all of the material for both classes in about 1 hour. I took the MIS test at 8, and after it raped me I decided to bend over again for the accounting test at 11. Prof. Blanchard must be the anti-Christ. Anyway, I skipped the remainder of my classes, laid out by the pool, and am now working on my website. It was the official last day of the semester, not counting finals, so I am pretty excited about that. That's it for today, check back tomorrow! |
