Thanks for visiting my journal.  Every now and then I like to ramble on about the happenings in my life; partly so people I don't talk to very often can know what's going on, and partly so I can look back later and remember.  It probably won't be interesting, but hopefully you won't fall asleep reading it.

Check out 2001 and 2000 - I just found those from an old site and posted them here.

Kade is now 23 months old... almost 2 years!  He's learned to say a lot, and I will be sure to post more and more of his pictures and recordings as time passes.  Here's a couple pictures and a 7 second recording for you.  Click on the thumbnails to see a larger view, or to listen to the MP3 (it's worth it!)

When I was in school at the UofA I lived in apt. #433 for a year with Nick, Casey, and (kind of) Evan.  When we would drink too much (every weekend) we would sometimes decide to "work on our music".  These were called the "433 Sessions", because all bands with numbers in their names are instant successes.  Here are some of our recordings:

433 Sessions
(download)
1.93 mb
This one is actually just me.  It's not bad, considering the amount of alcohol I had consumed and my very-amateur guitar playing skills.  I don't have any lyrics for it yet.
Mary Kate and Ashley
(download)
895 kb

Nick is on the guitar on this one.  Nick, Casey, Evan, and I provide the vocals and whistling.  I apologize ahead of time for the inappropriateness and I hope that no law-suit comes from posting this.

Regulators
(download)
3.24 mb

This is actually not from 433 - this is Bryan Adkins and me goofing around with a karaoke version of the rap classic "Regulators".  Bryan is Warren G and I am Nate Dogg.

Extra Track
(download)
733 kb
This is the bonus track that all really good CDs have.  You know, it comes like 3 minutes after the last song has finished and you have to fast-forward to get to it...  I'm on the bass and I think Evan provided the pee.

Real news...

Hershey and I have decided to leave our loft when our lease expires in June.  We'll be moving into a house.  As much as we love the downtown life and our uber-cool loft, Kade absolutely loves playing outside.  We need a backyard for him.  We will most likely be moving into the Plano/Frisco area.

I remain undecided about law school.  I've taken my LSAT and nearly finished putting my application package together, but I have my doubts about the time commitment that it requires.  I'm having a hard time imagining being gone from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm every weekday for the next 4 years... not to mention the reading/studying time on top of that.
